Health Benefits
The Following is a List of the Ingredients found in Dr. Nick’s Tooth Oil:
African Wild Sage – Similar characteristics to Tea Tree oil, this powerful extract from nature has ample antimicrobial (ie. anti-fungal, anti-bacterial) properties while aiding in the mixture as a natural preservative sustaining the solution over time. Adds a full-bodied flavor characteristic to Dr. Nick’s Natural Tooth Oil #1 Blend.
Cinnamon Bark – With it’s sassy flavor, cinnamon combines quite lovely with clove for a spicy wake-up each time used with brushing. Major constituents include 1,8-cineole, caryophyllene, cinnamaldehyde, eugenol, linalol, p-cymene (defined as 500+ ppm in bark). Other constituents to note in lower concentrations include alpha-pinene, alpha-terpinene, alpha-terpineol, limonene, terpinen-4-ol. Reviewing individual components effects on different symptomology suggests cinnamon to have anticariogenic, candidicide, fungicide, anti-inflammatory properties with an irritant effect at high concentrations. High concentrations of cinnamon are not recommended as irritation may occur in more sensitive individuals.
Clove – Contains constituents including beta-caryophyllene, alpha-humulene, eugenol, alpha/beta-terpineol, caryophyllene, oleanolic acid & terpinen-4-ol to name a few. Clove synergizes into a powerful blend of constituents leading to anti-microbial (acaracidal, vermifuge, candidicide, larvicide, anti-bacterial, anti-viral!), anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, anti-septic, analgesic properties while minimizing cavity production (anticariogenic). Some cultures mix hot water over cloves with cinnamon sticks for a spice dense tea, relaxing the body, easing sore throat and aiding challenged immune systems. Eugenol is commonly used in dental offices as an antiseptic & analgesic agent. Eugenol was originally discovered from cloves.
Fennel – The last ingredient added to Dr. Nick’s Tooth Oil, fennel adds a cooling sweetness while increasing the fresh teeth sensation. This anticariogenic agent was infused into the mix to add a new experience of clean in Dr. Nick’s Tooth Oil.
Rosemary – Refreshing component leaving the breath and mind restored powered by 1,8-cineole, alpha-pinene, alpha-terpinole and beta-caryophyllene, cineole and mycrene. Adds a sparkle to the blend while providing anticariogenic properties.
Star Anise – Anticariogenic with a complementary soothing flavor to cinnamon and clove, may ease digestive properties (alongside with fennel). Carminative with expectorant properties providing a natural sweetening to the final product. Leaves a clean feeling on the teeth and gums!
